Crisis Services Overview

Many of the families in our communities live paycheck-to-paycheck, working hard to make ends meet. For these households, even a small interruption in income or an unexpected expense can make paying the monthly bills and putting food on the table an insurmountable task. What seems like a minor setback can spiral into a long-term emergency as bills mount and eviction or foreclosure looms.

At SOS, we believe one of the best ways to end homelessness is to prevent homelessness in the first place. Our Crisis Services provide a stop-gap for families facing temporary hardships so that the emergency remains just that — temporary. We help families access food,  housing resources, and shelter, so that they can emerge from a moment of crisis to a place of strength.
