Volunteer Training
Volunteer training is fun and will also prepare you with the skills and information necessary for your volunteer role. Training is experiential and participatory, focusing on social issues of all types. Myths and facts about each subject are explored using theory, personal experience, and role-play. You will learn empathetic and assertive ways to respond to a number of issues, including homelessness, oppression, sexual assault, child abuse, domestic violence, and suicide.
Training is offered approximately four times a year.
